Drifting Through the Mountains

Drifting Through the Mountains is an installation centered on themes of craft, nature, ritual, and memory. Visitors are invited to enter a contemplative space where personal memory and self-awareness offer a temporary escape from the noise and acceleration of everyday life. Rooted in the artist's brief stay in a mountain village, the work employs materials and craft-based processes to create a constellation of objects across multiple media. These objects evoke local relationships between people, nature, and everyday life, while preserving the quietness and stillness of that period of time. Local customs and religious practices are transformed into symbolic motifs and recurring visual elements throughout the installation. Printmaking—particularly etching—is approached as a ritual of inscribing and translating memory. Accompanying the exhibition, an artist's book further explores themes of objects, memory, and repetition, extending the exhibition's narrative through text and expanding its conceptual framework.
